Working with Shannon has been a great experience. Her knowledge of OCD and the way she can integrate that knowledge with understanding make her a fantastic counselor. I can honestly say that I would not have been able to make the progress I’ve made without her help and encouragement. I’m making strides everyday thanks to her work, and I’d like to see that same progress for everyone struggling with OCD. If it’s something you’re dealing with I highly recommend Shannon and her work. She’s been a great asset to me and I will forever be grateful for the freedom she’s brought to my life.
I participated in a one-week intensive program for panic disorder and agoraphobia. Shannon customized a plan specifically for me. She helped me face situations and activities I have been avoiding for years. Over the course of 7 days she guided me through a series of exposures in clear progression. Throughout this process I gained confidence knowing that I can be successful, and I have a more positive outlook on life. I have been searching for someone with Shannon’s knowledge and dedication for years. Her continued support has also been an integral part of my journey and the experience has been invaluable.
Honestly, I’m not sure what would’ve happened to me if I’d not gotten treatment from Shannon. As a sufferer of OCD and associated issues, life’s not been easy. In recent years, it’s gotten worse. However, after a breakdown in June 2015, I went to see Shannon and was thus diagnosed with severe OCD the first day. She pulled together a treatment plan using Cognitive-Behavior Therapy and exposure therapy, helping me slowly stitch my life back together. I’ve been under her care for a year and a half now (as of writing this), and I could not give her higher praise. Shannon is kind, actually cares about her patients, works through the tough times with them, and has plenty of treatments for all sufferers. If you need somebody who’ll listen to you and help you regain your life from OCD, she’s certainly one of the best!
My son battled emetophobia to the point he avoided certain foods and refused to attend school and social activities. We were growing frustrated as we unsuccessfully tried different therapies and programs. Then our world changed when we started working with Shannon. Using exposure therapy, she was able to help him overcome his fear of vomiting and germs, return to school and, more importantly, thrive as a high school student. She is patient and creative and willing to invest time with her clients to ensure a successful treatment.
