Emily McCollister, MSW, LCSW

Emily McCollister is a licensed clinical social worker. Emily is a graduate of Shippensburg University, she has both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in social work from “Ship”. She has over 10 years of experience working in the field as a social worker. Emily has worked at Johns Hopkins Community Psychiatry Program assisting young adults with Schizophrenia; to help them meet their goals and return to school/work and spent many years working with the child welfare system. She is most passionate about working with folks who are experiencing anxiety, phobias, OCD, social anxiety, depression, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), ARFID, social skills, autism, and ADHD. Emily has completed training in Exposure & Response Prevention and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Emily believes we are on this journey of life, together and through intentional therapeutic collaboration coupled with evidence-based practices, healing is possible. Emily’s practice infuses kindness and compassion by using an empathetic and trauma-informed approach. She recognizes the value of active listening and providing a non-judgmental attitude. She would be honored to support you on your path towards living as your most authentic self.

Aside from being a therapist, Emily is a passionate advocate for those with OCD. Emily’s interests include mindfulness, gratitude practice, holistic health, and the outdoors.
